🧺 Ingredients:
- 500g Stellini pasta 
- 700g minced meat (beef, pork, chicken, or turkey) 
- 1 onion, finely chopped 
- 3 garlic cloves, minced 
- 200g tomato sauce 
- Vegetable oil (for cooking) 
- Salt, to taste 
- Meat seasoning & a pinch of ground nutmeg 
For the Béchamel Sauce:
- 50g butter 
- 15g flour 
- 500ml milk 
- Salt & a pinch of nutmeg 
Topping:
- 100g grated hard mozzarella cheese
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven:
Set it to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a baking dish.
2. Cook the Pasta:
Boil the Stellini in salted water until al dente, following the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. Prepare the Béchamel Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a smooth roux. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and a dash of nutmeg.
4. Make the Meat Filling
In a skillet, heat a splash of vegetable oil. Sauté the onion and garlic until tender and fragrant. Add the minced meat and cook until browned. Stir in salt, meat seasoning, and tomato sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until the flavors come together.
5. Assemble the Dish
In your baking dish:
- Layer half the pasta 
- Add half the meat mixture 
- Pour over half the béchamel 
- Repeat layers 
- Top with grated mozzarella 
6. Bake
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
7. Serve and Savor
Let it rest a few minutes after baking. Serve warm with a side salad or steamed veggies for a complete, balanced meal.
